Music is in the barn

Home Artist Gallery Past & Present Horses & Dogs Music

Killarney is a group of musicians that play very old traditional Irish music. This music made its way to America with indentured peoples over the centuries. It was the music typically heard at American “Frolics” (dances). These tunes are the roots of American Old Time and Bluegrass music.

We (Killarney) play for Gallery Night’s, local festivals and benefits. We have, also, played for Civil War Re-enactments, heritage festivals and Irish Ceili’s. Our next engagement is on September 17, 2010 at Gallery Night Downtown Pensacola . October 8,9,10, 2010 St. Rose of Lima International Festival.

There is presently an open Irish music session at Dolce Vita Art Bar and Lounge located on South Reus St. In Pensacola, Florida on Thursday nights from 6 until 9 PM. This is an Irish Jam Session open to musicians and fans of Celtic music. These sessions have previously been at Paddy O’Leary’s on Pensacola Beach and Finnegan’s Wake.
